Having stable, safe, and affordable living conditions are just as essential for individuals working toward recovery from mental illness as accessibility to services and support.
While having a mental illness has little to no impact on housing for many people, others face cascading obstacles and challenges, particularly availability and affordability. The waitlist for housing in DC is at an all-time high and some people have been on the list for years. This event will focus on the DC housing for people with mental illness, and begin a Dialogue & Conversation about current programs, improvements, and solutions.
We hope you’ll join the conversation, become an ally for change, and make a difference in our city!
