Employer Match

Double your impact with a Matching gift. Matching programs are set up by companies and corporations as an employee benefit. After an employee donates to a nonprofit, they can submit a matching gift request to their employer and the company will make an additional donation to that nonprofit. Inquire with you HR department to find out if your employer participates in a matching gift program.

The Dennis Hobb Meet the Need Funds

In January of 2021, after 17 years of service to the center and our clients, our longstanding Executive Director Dennis Hobb retired.  In his honor McClendon Center launched the Dennis Hobb Meet the Need Funds. Each year, during the month of February, we will honor Dennis and the commitment he made to McClendon Center by featuring the Dennis Hobb Meet the Need Funds. The funds will be used for direct care of our clients for the kinds of needs that arose and Dennis always found a way to meet. Some examples might be a warm coat for a client on a cold day, transportation funds to get to a chemotherapy appointment, or internet service at a group home for online therapy sessions. Although shoes, car services, and internet access officially aren’t eligible expenses, every single time Dennis was faced with these situations, he responded the same way: “We will find a way to meet the need.”

The Dennis Hobb Meet the Need Funds will help the organization continue to meet the need for the people it serves.
