‘Tis the season for giving back!

Four Ways You Can Support the McClendon Center This Holiday Season

While you are making your lists and checking them twice, we hope you’ll consider helping us to spread the word about the many different ways you can support the McClendon Center and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our most vulnerable neighbors.

Here are four easy ways you can make a difference right now, and spread a little holiday cheer to those who need it most in our community.

Help Keep Our Clients Safe & Warm

We need your help to ensure that every McClendon Center client can focus on their recovery without the threat of frostbite or deadly hypothermia.

Recovering from a mental illness is difficult enough without struggling to satisfy basic needs like food, housing, and winter-ready clothes and footwear. Many of our clients only have access to damaged, ragged or ill-fitting coats if they have one at all. We’ve even had clients arrive at our doorstep without shoes on cold winter days.

By donating new or gently worn winter clothes, shoes, and accessories this holiday season, you can help save someone’s life and increase their chance of recovery.

Support Our Clients By Purchasing Their Art

Looking for a special gift? Celebrate the giving season (or any season) by purchasing artwork directly from our clients.

On Tuesday, December 12, the McClendon Center will be hosting its holiday arts and crafts show.

McClendon Center Holiday Arts + Crafts Show
Tuesday, December 12 | 10 am – 12 pm
1313 New York Avenue NW, 5th Floor

A little goes a long way with 100 percent of the proceeds from every purchase going directly to the artists.

Let Your Gift Be Your Impact

Even the smallest donations go a long way in assisting those in need. Will you make a gift of $10, $15, or $25 and be someone’s difference maker today?
